Registration of a gang/family under a gang flag is a prerequisite for participation in gang activities. This is done by filling out a gang application in Discord.
Crews must have at least 5 active members (including the leader) upon inception. If activity falls below the required number, crews will receive a notification to increase activity within a 30-day period.
Gang leaders are the only people who can apply and must have 2 weeks of Discord activity and 20 hours of activity in county.
If activity does not improve after 30 days, the gang will be disbanded with an option to reapply after 30 days with increased activity/membership.
Camp Flags are placed by the Gang/Family leader after purchasing from the government $15,000. There is an additional $5,000 registration fee.
Camp Flags must not be placed within towns.
Camp Flags may only be placed on private property if it is owned by someone in the group.
Gangs/Family who own private property can DEFEND that property without restrictions. Businesses and cities that you designate as your "Territory" are excluded from this list. The crew that invades or attacks may only consist of six people. This does not apply to Hideout Raids.
Gangs/Family are limited to 14 members. If you're roster is full, you cannot have any prospects.
They must be selected within 7 days to avoid exceeding the maximum band count. (Subject to change in the future).
All new gangs/families go through a 15 day trial period during which they only receive two warnings before being disbanded. During the 15-day trial period, new gangs are allowed to participate in all gang-related activities and add new members to their roster.
New gangs must wait until the end of the 15-day trial period before they can start gang wars. You can remove members at any time. You must continue to comply with all Western Skies County Server Rules. This includes interaction with law enforcement agencies.
Any criminal activity outside of your gang's territory must comply with all general Western Skies County rules. Also, remember that Western Skies County officials can remove your gang at any time, for any reason. This means your gang may be disbanded and/or banned from the server. Also, any violation of the gang's rules will be counted as a violation of the rules.
Any character who leaves (or is removed from) a gang/family has a 7 day waiting period before joining or creating a new gang/family.
Expectations
Gang/Family leaders are expected to ensure that their members comply with the server's rules.
The first gang strike will be a warning, allowing the gangs to make adjustments.
If your gang receives two warnings, you will be suspended (see section below).
After 3 hits there is a risk that your gang will be disbanded or face other penalties.
Group strikes are lifted after 30 days, but if gangs repeat the same behavior, strikes cannot be lifted.
You (as a leader) should only hire trustworthy people and as such they are YOUR responsibility, not ours.
Suspension Notice: While we reserve the right to suspend and/or disband your Crew at any time, your Crew may be suspended in accordance with the instructions above. During this suspension period, your gang is typically banned from grouping at the gang level for a period of two weeks (depending on a shorter or longer period determined by the team). During the suspension:
Gang activities of any kind are prohibited. These include but are not limited to invading enemy territory, crafting moonshine, or selling drugs as part of a gang, or retaliating as a gang.
No colors or banding.
You can take revenge if you are attacked by another gang. However, we will monitor the actions of the suspended gangs. If that sounds complicated, it should be.
Lists
Each gang leader is required to keep the government monitored roster list up to date at all times. (The 10-member limit is subject to change.)
A gang must have a minimum of 1 leader and a maximum of 2.
Your gang must have at least 5 active members (including the leader).
Characters can only be on ONE list at a time.
Declare/End Gang Wars
Something important within the RP must happen between the two sides for the war to begin. A bad cause of war may lead to administrator intervention.
Wars must be declared between leaders personally. Gang wars must be fought face-to-face in the same way. In most cases, a peace petition should be granted unless there are good reasons to insist that the war continue. The announcement scene and the first attack should be separate scenes.
Gang War Rules: All Western Skies County rules must be observed when fighting gang violence outside of gang territory.
All gang attacks must take place in gang territory.
All attackers must be dressed in their gang's colors.
Anyone not wearing the gang's colors must either leave and not return during the scene, or surrender.
If they engage in violence in any way, it will be taken as an introduction to the gang war scene and possibly shot at.
Gang War Law Enforcement
All rules for initiating and escalating violence apply to both gangs and cops.
Violence should be the last step in dealing with cops who intervene in a gang war. Law enforcement is taught not to shoot on the spot, the same rules must be followed by gangs.
When attacking/defending in gang territory, the initiation rules are suspended until the scene is completed.
Remember, the rules of sniper shooting still apply.
During a gang war it is not allowed to use the /alertdoctor system to spawn. When police/medical personnel show up, it is of their own free will. LEO/medical personnel do not need to be in the gang area at all times where gunfights are constant. You will not be the gang's personal resuscitation bot.
Mechanisms of Gang Wars Gang Wars occur on a daily cycle.
One attack and one retaliation by the defending gang is allowed per day. This attack/retaliation cycle can only be repeated for seven days
During the attack/retaliation cycle, the attacker cannot attack again until the defender counterattacks.
If the defending gang does not strike back within three days, the war is over and the attacker is declared the victor.
Gang leaders can break the cycle at any time during the seven days by asking for peace in another face-to-face meeting between the gang leaders.
Identifiers
Gangs must provide 1-2 specific clothing items to be listed as their official identifiers. These will be considered off-limits to other gangs. You may have your people wear an entire outfit, but only these specific identifiers will be official via government.
Gang identifiers should be seen as a great and clear way to identify your gang during a gang war.
All items must be approved and visible to other gang leaders.
Each gang must define their colors in such a way that they cannot be accidentally worn by a normal player.
Just saying "red mask" doesn't count as an identifier. It should be specific face/headwear, shirt, pants, and/or other accessories that you find necessary for your group.
If someone is wearing your gang identifiers, you can let them know what they are wearing and politely ask them to change, otherwise they will face repercussions.
Special Considerations - If someone is using their property for any activity, you should not pressure them, even if the property is on your property. The only exception is if they are the first to initiate and use violence against you.
Gang alliances are not allowed
You may not use a gang for help in a gang war.
You may not use another gang to help with any “beef” you have with another player or group.
You may not go around in multiple gangs so for instance rocking up in town with your gang and another, practical reasons for this one being dust! One sync becomes not a happy bunny. You MAY however do banks, and forts and train robberies with your friends even if they're in another gang. As long as you are ONLY 6 in the scene. Other gang members SHOULD NOT be nearby to avoid confusion and potential chaos (this has happened a fair few times)
